Welcome to Greece

Greece breaks all the clichés. Everybody expects amazing beaches, ancient temples, medieval castles and monasteries but most visitors are surprised by the many mountains, wild gorges, dense forests, caves, rivers and lakes. Pelicans and eagles are as much part of the fauna as wolves and bears.

Mosques and industrial architecture shape the cultural landscape. The number of small, charming hotels is on the rise and the regional cuisine is becoming more and more influential. The vast offer of different water sports is complemented by a host of outdoor activities from winter sports to climbing. The summer months are filled with countless cultural festivals.
