Welcome to Belgium

There is an extra special ambience in the land of the Flemings and Walloons, who united to form the kingdom of Belgium some 160 years ago. Although Belgium is loved for its chocolate, Brussels lace and Ardennes ham it is not a classic holiday destination but that is rather short-sighted. The coastal resorts along the North Sea, the wide sandy beaches and the spectacular dune landscapes alone are worth making the trip. And it’s not just romantics who go into rapture over the ornate facades and wonderful buildings that reflect off the canals and waterways, or the church spires that soar high above the historic Old Towns of Bruges and Ghent.
