1. Amsterdam

Amsterdam is appealing at any time of the year. In summer, cafés put tables out on the street and an almost Mediterranean atmosphere prevails. In winter you can wander along the canals and marvel at the pretty illuminations. For many, the best time to visit is 30th April for Koninginnedag (Queen’s Day) where the whole city turns into a big open-air party. To be part of it, dress from head to toe in orange and prepare to lose all your inhibitions!

2. Edinburgh

With plenty of markets, local stores, exclusive bars, vibrant cookery schools and excellent restaurants and pubs, Edinburgh offers a great range of eating and drinking experiences. If sightseeing is more your thing, Edinburgh boasts a variety of tours from city buses to ghost walks, limousine rides and unique trike excursions. You wouldn't expect any less from Scotland's second-largest city!

3. Kos

If you want to dance the night away, this is the place for you! Every evening Kos Town and the legendary bar mile of Odós Pléssa turns into a single party strip, allegedly with the highest club density in Greece. Of course, there’s more to Kos than just clubs – be sure to try your hand at snorkelling, cycling, climbing and horse-riding… if you have any energy left!

4. Malta & Gozo

Malta is an ideal destination for short breaks as it offers year-round sunshine, lots of good quality hotels and plenty to see and do. It has a thriving nightlife and a superb range of restaurants. Mdina, the island’s original capital, offers a charming mix of medieval and Baroque architecture for people wanting a cultural-fix. And the best bit: Malta and its little sister Gozo are small enough to allow you to get to know the island republic within a single week!
