When England is freezing over and everybody digs out their hats and scarves, it is the perfect time to jet off to Cape Town - where the temperature reaches around 29 degrees in February. If you want to relax and soak up the sun, head to Clifton Beach. It is 2km long, has beautiful white sand and is surrounded by a picturesque setting of cliffs and greenery. Table Mountain is also a very popular tourist attraction and a must-do experience! It is postcard perfect and towers over Cape Town at 3559ft. Visitors can chose to hike up the mountain or take the cable car, but either way, the view over the city at the very top is completely breath-taking.

Cyprus is perfect for a winter sun getaway as it gets plenty of sunshine all year round. There are many long and striking beaches with beautiful palm trees, which are perfect for sunbathing in the day and watching the sunset from at night. There are a good variety of water sports on offer as well as dry land sports such as hiking trails, mountain bike tours, golf courses and horse-riding. Places to visit include mountain ranges, mosques, cathedrals and castles. If you’re into nightlife then a visit to the party capital of Ayía Nápa is a must! It is the perfect place to experience how the locals party in clubs, bars and traditional taverns.

Cambodia offers high temperatures throughout the winter months so the perfect time to go is between November and April. It has a natural beauty about it and is home to some of the best beaches in the world. Cambodia has a very enchanting setting with crystal clear waters, tropical forests, waterfalls, winding rivers and exotic animals. The up-and-coming destination, Rabbit Island, is the perfect place for those who want to relax and escape their urban lifestyles. It is a paradise island that is still quite underdeveloped and therefore has a very peaceful and calming atmosphere about it.

The temperature in Thailand between November and March ranges from the high 20s to the low 30s, which makes it the perfect place to visit for some winter sun! The capital city, Bangkok, offers temples, museums, palaces, markets and world-famous shopping malls including Siam Center. If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Bangkok then there are many places to visit instead - Phuket, Krabi, Chiang Mai and Koh Chang are among some of the most popular. Most of the southern islands (such as Ko Samui, Ko Phi Phi, Ko Pha Ngan) offer stunning beaches, water sports, mountain ranges, jungle scenery, historical monuments, boat rides and elephant rides. The views out over the sea and neighbouring islands at sunset are particularly spectacular.
